POSITION

Position title:

Business Developer

Work location:

180 Garsfontein Road, Ashlea Gardens, Pretoria.

International travel may be required. 

Job purpose:

Develop and nurture partnerships with various industry role-players and stakeholders, nationally and internationally. Take overall responsibility for the strategic expansion of hearX into new (and existing markets), account management of newly established partnerships and distribution streams. 

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education (essential):

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or similar

Minimum education (desirable):

 

Minimum applicable experience (years):

5 years 

Required nature of experience:

  • Business development.
  • Software product sales.
  • Client relationship management.

  • Understand the current roadmap and details of our product suite.
  • Research and keep abreast of current and future technology trends, key players and emerging businesses primarily within the fast moving and evolving hearing solutions, hearing aid and audiological technology  industries.
  • Present new ideas for partner growth opportunities to the CEO and other stakeholders.
  • Compile business development strategies for local and international markets.

Business Development

  • Drive business development by, among other things, establishing clients/partners to be contacted and pursued in terms of potential business partnerships.
  • Identify new opportunities and markets for both new and existing products and product lines.
  • Ensure efficient implementation of business development processes, strategies and opportunities.
  • Ensure cohesion with Marketing and communication strategy to ensure efficient collaboration between sales and marketing teams. 
  • Provide input and insights on the marketing strategies and direction, in light of business development opportunities. 
  • Create and present various pitches in order to drive business development and stakeholder involvement.

Relationship Management

  • Identify and establish strategic relationships with potential partners such as technology companies, developers, research labs, accelerators, incubators, etc.
  • Identify new opportunities to grow established partnerships and unlock additional value to us and the end customer.
  • Manage and maintain partner relationships, both National and international, ensuring ample business development opportunities are created from such relationships.

Documentation and Record Keeping

20%

  • Develop proposals and documentation aligned with requirements. 
  • Set up indicators to track business development  (revenue, growth, opportunities etc). 
  • Report on partnerships to top management on a regular basis.
  • Accomplish objectives by establishing plans, budgets and results; reviewing progress and making mid-course corrections to ensure optimal outcomes.
