Entry Requirements

A person seeking to be registered as a student for any of the professional examinations must show evidence of being a holder of one of the following minimum qualifications:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least grade C+ (C plus) or its equivalent.
  • Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) with at least TWO Principal passes provided that the applicant has credits in Mathematics and English at Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE) level or equivalent qualifications.
  • kasneb technician, diploma or professional examination certificate.
  • A degree from a recognised university.
  • International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination grade C in 6 papers with C in both English and Mathematics.
  • Such other certificates or diplomas as may be approved by kasneb.

Course Description

Course Overview

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Part 2 Section III is a KASNEB professional course that is part of the intermediate level of the CPA course. It covers three papers. These three papers include:

Paper 7: Company law

Paper 8: Financial Management

Paper 9: Financial Reporting and Analysis

Finstock Evarsity College offers a 4 month online program examined by Finstock Evarsity College. A certificate is issued upon completion of the course. This program aims at preparing you for the CPA exams prepared externally by KASNEB. After passing the KASNEB exams you will be able to get a CPA certification. CPA is primarily for accounting, auditing and management professionals who wish to expand their career options. This program provides knowledge and skills on Regulatory Compliance, legislation, Financial Management and Analysis.

What is the minimum required grade required to do CPA Part 2 Section III?

For you to enroll for the course you should show evidence of being a holder of one of the following minimum qualifications:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least grade C+ (C plus) or its equivalent.
  • Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) with at least TWO Principal passes provided that the applicant has credits in Mathematics and English at Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE) level or equivalent qualifications.

Mode of Delivery

Finstock Evarsity College offers you an online platform to ease your studies. A student is provided with Home and/or office-based media employing a variety of self-instructional electronic and online self-study materials, such as; written self-instructional study modules, self-tests, cloud-based content, videos of lectures mediated technical learning materials e.g., audiovisual and e-learning materials.  We also offer an optional online meeting via zoom and google meet when you need clarification as you study. If the student has questions, they may also contact their lecturer on the platform. Therefore, study time as well as duration is flexible and fits into the student’s convenience.

Things to Note:

Holders of specific degrees and diplomas that are recognized and listed on the KASNEB website (kasneb.or.ke) may be exempted from this section for example Diploma in business graduates are exempted from the foundation level papers. One should register and apply for these exemptions on the KASNEB website.

Candidates will not be allowed to skip any paper. You cannot do a higher paper if you have not completed a lower one or have not been exempted from a lower one. For example you cannot do paper 9 if you have not completed paper 7.

Payments can be done in 3 installments as specified in the fee structure.

Q3. When can I sit for the exams?

  1. Internal exams are activated for students individually.
  2. External exams (where applicable) are booked one month after you complete the course.

Refer to the external examining body for more details and requirements before seating for their exams.

Q4: Is this college accredited/approved?

Yes. The college is approved under the ministry of education, through TVETA, and also through National Industrial Training Authority (NITA).
