Course Description

Advanced Kiswahili Course is a 1-month certificate online course offered and examined by Finstock Evarsity. A certificate of completion is issued upon completion of the course.

Finstock Evarsity Advanced Kiswahili Course is designed for students who have completed the Swahili beginner level and are at a semi-fluent level of speaking and translating Kiswahili. Swahili is one of the most widely spoken indigenous languages of Africa. It is an East African language spoken by more than 130 million people in Africa. It is the official language of Tanzania and one of the two official languages in Kenya, and is widely spoken in Uganda. It is spoken as a native language all along the east coast of Africa from southern Somalia in the north down through the Kenyan and Tanzanian coasts, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and also other parts of Africa. Advanced Kiswahili addresses complex issues and forms of expression related to literature, politics, society, sociological studies, gender, and the program themes of health and human rights. Students who complete this level will be able to speak Kiswahili more fluently with quick a response rate while comfortable with a majority of topics and vocabulary.

The course enables students to gain a deeper understanding of the Kiswahili language through reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex thoughts, issues, and ideas in literature written in Kiswahili by African writers. students will expand their vocabulary, and get a better understanding of prepositions, adjectives, subject-object prefixes, conjunctions, colors, and many more.
