Description
CRE Standard Seven Textbook is an in-depth exploration of the Christian faith, specifically designed for students in their seventh year of religious education. The textbook is divided into different sections that cover a range of topics, each of which is explored in detail. Students will learn about the beginning of the Church after Jesus Christ ascension, its mission to spread the Gospel and key beliefs.
They will also understand how the Bible came to be, it’s divine inspiration and importance as the Word of God. They will study selected passages and their teachings. The textbook also explores the importance of prayer, worship, and sacraments in the Christian faith, and the ways in which Christians can live out their faith in daily life. It discusses the importance of virtues such as love, compassion, and forgiveness, and the role of the Church in supporting and nurturing these virtues.
Overall, the approach is simple, interactive and practical. Illustrations, activities, tests and discussion topics are used to enhance understanding. The aim is to help standard seven students build a solid foundation in Christian doctrine and morality to guide them at this stage of life.
