Units Found in a Computer Hardware
A computer can be termed as an electronic data processing device which receive data and instructions, process the data and produce the output accurately and at a high speed. Electronic processing method relies on the computer and principles of electronics to process the data. The system which uses the computer for processing data is composed of the computer hardware, system hardware, procedures, personnel and the application software. In this case the computer hardware consists of four major units which are used in processing of data to an output. Beneath is a complete list of the four major computer hardware units.
1.Input Unit. 
The input unit feed data into the computer. It reads and converts data into electronic pulses which it then transmits through wire to the central processing unit for processing. They include, the keyboard, a computer mouse, joysticks, webcam, scanners and internal microphones.
2.Output Unit.
The output unit retrieves data from the central processing unit. It takes the information in form of electronic pulse and converts it into form understood by human beings or stores it in a form ready for further processing by other devices. In cases where the output and input device are located away from the central processing unit, information is carried to and from the central processing unit via communication links, the peripheral that makes communication possible is called the modem. The output units include monitors, graphic potters, screens, printers and speakers.
3.Central Processing Unit.
The central processing unit is the heart of processing system. It has three main components, namely, arithmetic unit, primary storage unit and the control unit. The arithmetic unit is made up of electronic circuits that carry out mathematical operations. The primary stage holds the data for manipulation, instructions for executions and immediate results of processing lastly the control unit supervises the operation of the entire computer including floe of the information and calculations. 4.Secondary Storage Unit.
The secondary storage unit provides additional storage capacity to supplement the primary storage. It is used to hold programs and data file which are not needed immediately by the central processing unit. The most common form of secondary storage unit are magnetic tapes, disk and drums. Computers are highly reliable, accurate, unsurpassed processing speed and low cost per unit of processing when a large volume of data is involved hence saves on time and eases tiredness from calculations, accounting, report writing and typing and also reduces the load of saving documents in form of hard copies to soft copies.
