-For appointment to this position, the applicant must have: -
- i. Bachelor’s Degree in Information and Communication Technology or an equivalent from a University recognized in Kenya;
- ii. Membership to an IT Related Professional Body in good standing;
- iii. Any of the following or related qualifications from a recognized institution
- a. ITIL (Certified in IT Service Management)
- b. CompTIA A+, (User support Professional)
- c. CompTIA N+, (Network Support Professional)
- d. MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)
- e. CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator)
- iv. Meets the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution

Duties and Responsibilities
-i) Overseeing ICT projects upgrades, implementation of the ICT roadmap, technology operations, new platforms, systems integrations and availability;
- ii) Developing and implementing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies;
- iii) Managing information security, personal data privacy compliance (GDPR) across all platforms and ensuring the appropriate data collection, retention, retrieval, security processes and process documentation is in place to respond to user requests within the stipulated response times;
- iv) Establishing and implementing an information security management system and architecture to provide a consistent platform for protecting information assets (public data, Commission data, personnel data), including infrastructure assets;
- v) Providing strategic guidance of all technology related decisions, including product selection, roadmap, integrations and phase out to ensure that the commission fulfils its mandate; and
- vi) Drawing up ICT equipment and service specifications to ensure adherence to regulations.

Important Information
-i. Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience
- ii. At least three (3) years at Senior Management level;
- iii. Master’s degree in Information Communication Technology or related qualification from a University recognized in Kenya (is an added advantage).
