Job Description

Marketing Manager
The Marketing Manager shall report to the Chief Executive Officer and will have the overall
responsibility to manage the SACCO’s Marketing docket.
Key Responsibilities
1) Develop the marketing strategy for the Sacco in line with the Saccos’s objectives.
2) Formulate and implement marketing policy and procedures.
3) Manage all marketing activities for the Sacco including promotional campaigns.
4) Research and evaluate new product opportunities, demand for potential products, and
customer needs and insights and manage new product launches.
5) Oversee and implement the Sacco’s marketing budget.
6) Manage the creation and publishing of all marketing materials in line with marketing plans.
7) Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.
8) Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.
9) In liaison with the CEO, analyze potential strategic partnerships for the Sacco and pursue them
to conclusion.
10) Proactively scan the market and keep abreast with the emerging trends in the marketing field.
Education and Professional Qualifications
Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing or its equivalent from a recognized university.
Experience of at least seven (7) years relevant experience, three (3) of which must be in a
supervisory role in a financial institution or co-operatives sector. A diploma in Co-operative
Management or Mass Communication will be an added advantage
