DEPARTMENT OF MUNICIPALITY
Physical Planner J/G ‘K’
REF: LCPSB/ADV/2021/48 1 POST
Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENTS
For appointment to this grade, an officer must: –
i. Be a Kenyan Citizen;
ii. Have Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: -urban and regional planning, Urban planning or Town planning from a recognized institution;
iii. Be a graduate member of Kenya institute of planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Town planning chapter);
iv. Have a certificate in computer
application skills from a recognized institution and
v. Shown merit in work performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities at this level will involve;
i. Preparing physical development plans; ii. Undertaking feasibility studies on physical, social, economic and environmental characteristics;
iii. Implementing physical pans for national,regional, urban areas and cities;
iv. Processing development application and
v. Maintaining physical planning records;
vi. Any other relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time.
