Course Description
Course Overview
Diploma in Computer Networks and Systems Administration (DCNSA) Level 1 is part of KASNEB diploma DCNSA course that consists of 3 levels. DCNSA Level 1 covers four papers. These four papers include:
- Paper No. 1-Introduction to Computing Systems
- Paper No. 2-Communication Skills and Ethics
- Paper No. 3-Information Systems Support and Integration
- Paper No. 4-Computer Information Systems Application
Finstock Evarsity College offers a 12month online program with internal exams administered by Finstock Evarsity College. A certificate is issued upon completion of the course. This program aims at preparing you for the DCNSA exams prepared externally by KASNEB. After passing the KASNEB exams you will be able to get a DCNSA certification.
This course imparts knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to :
Design networks.
Configure networks.
Test and secure networks.
Manage non-complex networks.
What is the minimum required grade required to do DCNSA Level 1?
For you to enroll for the course you should show evidence of being a holder of one of the following minimum qualifications:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least grade C- (C minus) or its equivalent.
- Such other certificates and other qualifications from recognized institutions as may be approved by kasneb.
Mode of Delivery
Finstock Evarsity College offers you an online platform to ease your studies. A student is provided with Home and/or office-based media employing a variety of self-instructional electronic and online self-study materials, such as; written self-instructional study modules, self-tests, cloud-based content, videos of lectures mediated technical learning materials e.g., audiovisual and e-learning materials. We also offer an optional online meeting via zoom and google meet when you need clarification as you study. If the student has questions, they may also contact their lecturer on the platform. Therefore, study time as well as duration is flexible and fits into the student’s convenience.
