DIPLOMA IN CAREGIVING

Course description

Diploma in Caregiving offered at Finstock Evarsity College is a 12 months program examined by Finstock Evarsity College. It is intended to provide students with a wide range of practical, professional and interpersonal skills required to provide quality care and support to individuals in need. The course provides trainees with knowledge, skills and attitudes that enable them to provide appropriate care to children, older persons, persons with disabilities, and individuals requiring assistance with their daily activities.

The course addresses the growing demand for trained caregivers in homes, healthcare facilities, community settings and other care environments. A good grounding in caregiving principles, personal care, health and safety, communication, nutrition and basic first aid is the focus of this course.

These programs are taught by highly qualified and experienced academic staff who are committed to academic excellence. The program is constantly reviewed to reflect the changing needs and demands of the caregiving and social care sector.

What is the minimum grade required to do a Diploma in Caregiving?

In order to enroll and study for a Diploma in Caregiving, a student should have a minimum of C- in their KCSE examinations.
