1. Attention

During the time we were growing up, our teachers in our primary level of education, would occasionally shout at us and say we please pay attention. The problem is that they forgot to tell us, how to pay the attention. Paying attention actually means giving one hundred percent concentration at the activity at hand without getting distracted. Most of the times, we are unable to give the full concentration to the task at hand. The vibration on our phones to signal an incoming message or notification will make us drop what we were doing instantly and attend to the notification as if we will face punishment, if we do not attend to it.This act affects with the concentration we had. To be fully attentive we must remember the four R of the brain. That is registering, retention, rekoll, and results. Registering means feeding in what we are doing, being in the moment. Registering is only possible if we are fully attentive.

If one is reading a book, they would need to write down the point they have taken to see if they have understood anything. This will help translate to the last R of the brain which is results.
