PHARMACIST / CLINICAL PHARMACY SPECIALIST

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist/Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join a leading hospital group in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be integral to our multidisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring optimal, safe, and cost-effective medication therapy for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in clinical ward rounds, providing expert pharmacotherapy recommendations.

• Conduct comprehensive medication therapy reviews and manage complex drug regimens.

• Lead and participate in antimicrobial stewardship programs.

• Provide accurate medication dispensing and supervision of the pharmacy technical team.

• Counsel patients on the safe and effective use of their medications.

• Participate in pharmacy and therapeutics committee activities, drug utilization reviews, and clinical audits.

• Develop and implement pharmacy policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Provide education and training to pharmacy staff, nurses, and junior doctors.

• Ensure strict compliance with hospital protocols and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) regulations.

Requirements:

• Essential:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized institution.

  • Valid registration/license from the Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on clinical/hospital pharmacy experience.

  • Eligibility for and willingness to obtain Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) licensure.

• Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualification (MSc) in Clinical Pharmacy or a relevant specialty.

  • Experience in a specific clinical area (e.g., ICU, Oncology, Cardiology).

• Mandatory for Visa Processing:

  • Successful completion of a full medical examination, including HIV, Hepatitis, and Drug tests, and a chest X-ray.
