Course Description
Course Overview
Certified Forensic Fraud Examiner (CFFE) course module 1 is a KASNEB post professional specialization course that is the first module of the three modules of the CFFE course. It covers three papers. These three papers include:
- Introduction to forensic Accounting and Audit
- Fraud and Corruption Schemes
- Overview of the legal and Justice System
Finstock Evarsity College offers a 4month online program examined by Finstock Evarsity College. A certificate is issued upon completion of the course. This program aims at preparing you for the CFFE exams prepared externally by KASNEB. After passing the KASNEB exams you will be able to get a CFFE certification.
The course imparts knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to ;
- Apply analytical techniques in fraud detection
- Design and implement preventive and detective controls
- Apply and ensure compliance with the appropriate laws in fraud investigations
- Apply the burden and standards of proof in civil and criminal proceedings
- Apply the various methods and techniques of conducting fraud investigations
- Write standard investigations and expert witness reports
- Develop fraud prevention programs
- Conduct a fraud prevention health check up
- Develop and implement a fraud risk management program
What is the minimum required grade required to do CFFE Module 1?
For you to enroll for the course you should show evidence of being a holder of one of the following minimum qualifications:
- Kasneb professional qualification; or
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university; or
- Any other qualification considered equivalent to the above.
Mode of Delivery
Finstock Evarsity College offers you an online platform to ease your studies. A student is provided with Home and/or office-based media employing a variety of self-instructional electronic and online self-study materials, such as; written self-instructional study modules, self-tests, cloud-based content, videos of lectures mediated technical learning materials e.g., audiovisual and e-learning materials. We also offer an optional online meeting via zoom and google meet when you need clarification as you study. If the student has questions, they may also contact their lecturer on the platform. Therefore, study time as well as duration is flexible and fits into the student’s convenience.

Things to note
The CFFE examination set by KASNEB is administered three times in a year, thus the course is meant to last on average one year.
The examination is divided into 3 modules. A candidate must pass the lower module before ascending to the next module. Pass CFFE module 1 before proceeding to module 2.
