AC & REFRIGERATION (HVAC) TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a skilled and certified HVAC Technician for a major facilities management company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of commercial HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to international safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM), corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs on HVAC systems including but not limited to:

   • Chilled Water Systems (Chillers, Cooling Towers, AHUs, FCUs)

   • Direct Expansion (DX) Systems (Split, Package, VRF/VRV Units)

   • Refrigeration Systems (Cold Rooms, Display Chillers)

2. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults systematically using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.

3. Recover, evacuate, charge, and handle refrigerants in strict compliance with environmental regulations and company procedures.

4. Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.

5. Complete detailed service reports, logbooks, and maintenance records for all work performed.

6. Respond promptly to emergency breakdown calls, both during and outside normal working hours.

7. Liaise with clients, team leaders, and engineers to ensure high standards of service delivery.

8. Strictly adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies at all times.

Mandatory Requirements & Certifications:

• Diploma or Trade Test Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

• Valid International Certification in Refrigerant Handling (EPA 608, ACRIB, or equivalent EU F-Gas Certificate).

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on field experience in commercial/industrial HVAC systems.

• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (able to work with 220/380V systems).

• Proficiency in brazing, pipefitting, and system pressure testing.

• Valid Passport and Kenyan Driving License.

• Must pass the pre-employment and GCC work visa medical examination.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) interfaces.

• Manufacturer training on Daikin, Carrier, or Trane systems.

• Experience in hospital, hotel, or large mall environments.
