FORKLIFT OPERATOR

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe handling of materials, ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. This is a critical role in our supply chain, requiring precision, reliability, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maneuver various types of forklifts (counterbalance, reach trucks, pallet jacks) to load, unload, transport, and stack goods in the warehouse and yard.

2. Inventory Handling: Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities, and accurately store items in designated locations. Perform picking, packing, and staging of outbound orders.

3. Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. Conduct pre-operation equipment checks and report any faults or damages immediately.

4. Stock Management: Utilize handheld scanners (RF) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) terminals to track inventory movements, update records, and ensure system accuracy.

5. Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in the warehouse and loading areas.

6. Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members, supervisors, and truck drivers to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.

7. Documentation: Complete all required logs and reports for moved materials accurately and in a timely manner.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of warehouse workflows and inventory principles.

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

• Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Basic mechanical knowledge for performing routine equipment checks.

• Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.

• Physical fitness to handle long periods of sitting, standing, and lifting.
