PAINTER / DECORATOR

We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Painters/Decorators for major construction and maintenance projects in the Middle East. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying high-quality finishes to interior and exterior structures, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare work surfaces by scraping, sanding, filling cracks, and cleaning to ensure a smooth, clean base for painting.

2. Mix, match, and apply primers, paints, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.

3. Apply wallpaper, decorative finishes, and create textures as per specifications.

4. Operate and maintain painting equipment, including airless spray guns.

5. Perform waterproofing and apply specialized coatings (e.g., fire-retardant, epoxy) as required.

6. Strictly adhere to all on-site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, including the use of PPE and safe handling of materials.

7. Protect surrounding areas (floors, furniture, fittings) from paint splatters and damage.

8. Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and report to the site foreman.

9. Conduct final clean-up of work area and equipment upon job completion.

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid NITA Trade Test Certificate.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience.

• Strong knowledge of paint products, surface preparation, and application techniques.

• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights (on ladders/scaffolding).

• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

• Basic understanding of English is advantageous.

• A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from DCI.

• Willingness to undergo and pass a mandatory pre-employment medical test (including screening for HIV, Hepatitis, Tuberculosis).
